There are strong indications that Prime Minister Modi may announce the extension of lockdown till April 30th. The same has been almost confirmed by the likes of Delhi Chief Minister

There are strong indications that Prime Minister Modi may announce the extension of lockdown till April 30th.

The same has been almost confirmed by the likes of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who tweeted that the Prime Minister has taken a correct decision to extend the lockdown.

This comes after PM Modi and chief ministers of various states met over a video conference call on Saturday.

The Chief Ministers of Puducherry and Karnataka also indicated that the Prime Minister will extend the lockdown.

As per reports, most states have supported extension of the nationwide lockdown with the Prime Minister putting prime emphasis on saving each and every life.

The Prime Minister has also stressed that lockdown and social distancing is the key at the moment, as per reports.

Meanwhile, government sources are saying that extension of the lockdown is almost certain. However, an economic package is also on the cards.
