No positive cases have been reported in Assam in the last 48 hours, informed Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday said that over 2,000 samples have been tested in the state out of which 26 have tested positive for the coronavirus so far.
85 persons who had came in contact with the COVID-19 positive case from Guwahati, Manish Tibrewal have tested negative for the disease, said Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Sarma further informed that an ILP-like system will be put into place temporarily in the state for entry of people after lockdown as thousands may be waiting to return and not everyone can be quarantined at the same time.
Hence, it was important to regulate the entry of people, post the lockdown, allowing people to enter in batches so that they can directly be put into quarantine after entry. Sarma said that entry of people into the State has to be in a sequenced manner.
