The number of confirmed Coronavirus cases has risen to 223 in India even as the Centre continues to step up measures to contain outbreak of the deadly virus.

As many as four Coronavirus related deaths have been reported in the country so far.

After addressing the nation yesterday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting with all chief ministers via video conferencing.

PM Narendra Modi said that the next 3-4 weeks are crucial in efforts to contain the spread of the virus and the most important measure for containment is ‘social distancing’. He requested the Chief Ministers to ensure effective implementation of the same.

Meanwhile, India has also decided to extend till April 15 the regular visa of foreigners stranded in the country due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
