Meghalaya: Internet services restored in Shillong

As Shillong heads back to normalcy, internet services have been restored in the East Khasi Hills district. According to the special bulletin released by the Meghalaya police, curfew was relaxed
As Shillong heads back to normalcy, internet services have been restored in the East Khasi Hills district.
According to the special bulletin released by the Meghalaya police, curfew was relaxed all over Shillong city except Bara Bazar, Paltan Bazar and the whole of Cantonment area till 1 pm.
In Police Bazar area, curfew has been relaxed from 9 am to 4 pm. Curfew is being imposed intermittently in Shillong since February 28.
Meanwhile, a stary incident of violence has been reported from Nongmingsong area of the city where stones were pelted at a local taxi by unknown miscreants in the wee hours today.
Unknown miscreants also tried to torch a vehicle at Umsning at around 6.30 am today.
110 Rapid Action Force personnel also arrived in Shillong on Wednesday to assist the district administration and state police force in maintaining law and order.
