Screening of passengers is being carried out at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport in Guwahati. No confirmed case of the deadly coronavirus has been reported in the Northeast
Screening of passengers is being carried out at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport in Guwahati.
No confirmed case of the deadly coronavirus has been reported in the Northeast region so far and measures are being taken to handle COVID-19 at all the airports, said Sanjeev Jindal, Regional Executive Director, Airports Authority of India, Northeastern Region.

Elaborate arrangements have been made and focus is especially on screening of passengers in international flight from Singapore.
Close to 250 passengers from 1 international and 8 domestic flights have been screened so far.
Meticulous screening is also being carried out at the Lengpui airport in Mizoram. Special instructions have been displayed at the airport premises and anyone with travel history to China is being especially screened.
