Good news for the residents of Amingaon as the Kamrup transport department has decided to connect it with Guwahati through city bus service.
Now the city buses will run from Amingaon to Guwahati. The new bus route will be operational soon.
Buses may also provide services till North Guwahati (Doul Govinda Temple) and Baihata in the near future said the Kamrup transport department. The authorities will also develop a mobile application that will create awareness among people regarding road safety.
“Guwahati is having serious traffic issues and at any cost, the high traffic should be minimized. As per a Gauhati High Court order Kamrup transport department along with Regional Transport Authority (RTA) has rationalized the bus routes in the city. One route has been extended till Amingaon. Along with Amingaon, more routes might be introduced for buses including North Guwahati, Mirza, Khetri, Chandrapur,” said Gautam Das, District Transport Officer Kamrup.
Das added, “We will forward the proposal to RTA so that they can look into the matter.”
