Three persons including a woman lost their lives in a tragic car accident at Joyguru in North Guwahati.
The incident occurred around 3 am on Saturday, after the vehicle which they were travelling in lost control and fell into a deep gorge.
Among the deceased, the woman have been identified as Dhanismita Sarma, a resident of Kahilapara, the others Rajib Sarma and Tapan Sarma hailed from Rangia and Nalbari respectively.
As per reports, the car was going towards Baihata from Guwahati. The accident took place after the driver of the vehicle bearing registration number AS-01-BN-1574, lost control of the vehicle and feel into a ditch.
Local residents informed the police. The police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies from the spot in the morning.
