Manipur BJP MLA, 2 others injured in road accident

Sitting BJP MLA from Sekmai constituency in Manipur, Heikham Dingo Singh was injured in a road accident in Khonghampat area along the National Highway-2 on Saturday.

Two others including the PSO and driver of MLA Heikham Dingo Singh were also injured in the accident.

According to reports, the MLA was coming back to Imphal from his constituency when the SUV he was travelling in hit a truck.

All the three injured have been admitted to the Raj Medicity hospital in Imphal West. Police are investigating whether there was any foulplay involved in the accident.

Meanwhile, Chief Manipur N Biren Singh visited the hospital to take stock of the health conditions of the MLA and two others who were injured in the mishap.
