The 89th annual session of Srimanta Sankardeva Sangha has begun at the Dihingiya Mohura Pothar of Kamargaon in Assam’s Golaghat.
Devotees in large numbers from all over the state have already started arriving at the venue, namely ‘Heritage Kaziranga Samannay Kshetra’. Foreign devotees from Japan and Italy are also expected to take part in the annual session.
According to the organizers, a total of 30 to 40 lakh bhakats (devotees) will participate in the four-day event, which will conclude on February 8.
