Assam swimmer Shivangi Sharma, who won 5 golds in the 3rd edition of the Khelo India Youth Games, now has her eyes set on the Asian Games 2022.
Speaking to Northeast Live Shivangi said, her next dream is to represent and excel for the country in the 2022 Asian Games. The golden girl also holds close the dream for the Olympics.
Talking about the sport facilities and infrastructure in Assam, Shivangi said that there has been much improvement in the state as compared in the past few years, at this rate she hopes that a lot of sports-persons will emerge from the state.
As a grassroots sporting event in the country, Shivangi said Khelo India Youth Games is an amazing platform for young sports-persons in the country. She also said that athletes look up to the Khelo India event as it is an important platform where athletes can showcase their skills.
