Former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has demanded for a CBI probe against former NRC coordinator Prateek Hajela.

Lashing out, the Congress veteran alleged that Hajela is a corrupt official who carried out severe anomalies during his tenure as the NRC coordinator.

Tarun Gogoi also questioned the state government as to why it did not inform the Supreme Court about Hajela’s alleged anomalies.

Expressing concern, the former chief minister said that it would be wrong to expect a correct NRC keeping in mind of Hajela’s alleged corruption.
