The Federation of Mizoram Samgra Employees has called off its mass casual leave. The decision was taken by the federation on late Tuesday night.
A meeting was held yesterday night, where along with the decision to call off the mass casual leave, a few other decisions were also undertaken.
The federation has asked the Mizoram government to take back their order of ‘No work, No pay.’ The federation has also called for a committee to be formed between the government and the teachers’ federation to look into hiking the teachers’ salaries and other such important issues.
It is to be noted here that the decision to call off the mass casual leave was taken after the state government sent a strong warning to the agitating teachers, asking them to resume their duties by today. The Government had said that the teachers who fail to join their duties by today, would be sacked and replaced.
The future of thousands of students were put at stake as the school teachers had gone on a mass casual leave across the state demanding 70 percent reservation for corresponding post in the ongoing recruitment undertaken by the State Education Department.
