Four arrested in ATM hacking case in Tripura

As many as 4 persons have been arrested in connection with hacking of ATMs of some SBI account holders in Tripura. Among the four arrested, 2 are reportedly from Turkey

As many as 4 persons have been arrested in connection with hacking of ATMs of some SBI account holders in Tripura.

Among the four arrested, 2 are reportedly from Turkey while the other two are Bangladeshi nationals. All four were arrested from Kolkata.

The State Bank of India in Agartala had to blocked ATM card numbers of a few of its customers as a precautionary measure against cyber hacking.

It was brought to the notice of SBI that data related to these ATM cards have been misused by some miscreants.

Issuing a public notice on the same, the Regional Manager of SBI had asked its customers to stay calm and visit their nearest Branch in case of financial loss owing to card cloning.
