Prime accused in the multi-crore Tripura PWD Scam, Former Tripura Minister and top CPI-M leader Badal Choudhury has been taken to the West Agartala Police Station.

Choudhury has been undergoing treatment at the ILS Hospital in Agartala. He was arrested by police at the ILS Hospital late in the evening of October 21, after evading arrest for 6 days.

Badal Choudhury’s wife meanwhile had said that her husband is suffering from memory loss.

He is among one of the three accused in the alleged scam in Tripura’s PWD scam that tuned to over Rs 600 crore.

The other two accused in the case are former Tripura Chief Secretary Yashpal Singh and former PWD Chief Engineer Subal Bhowmick.

While, Subal Bhowmick has been under arrest, Yashpal Singh continues to evade arrest.
