The Manipur Power distribution Company has cut power supply to the vital Moreh Hospital.

The Moreh Hospital is the only Government-run hospital in the border town. Patients from in and around Moreh come to Moreh for treatment in the hospital.

Power supply to the hospital has been cut as a result of non-payment of outstanding dues by the hospital. The Moreh Hospital has a whopping outstanding of Rs 20 lakh for 2 years.

Other than Moreh Hospital, power supply to the Trade and Commerce Centre and the Power department’s Inspection Bungalow have also been snapped due to non-payment of dues.

While, the Trade Centre has an outstanding of Rs 12 lakh for 2 years, the Power Inspection Bungalow has an outstanding of Rs 12 lakh for 1 year.
