In a shocker from Manipur, two police personnel entered the Manipur University campus and allegedly brandished their service revolvers at hostellers besides threatening them with dire consequences.
Tension erupted at University campus following the incident which took place around 10.30 pm.
According to sources, the two cops, one sub inspector and an IRB constable had an argument with one of the hostellers near the university’s main entrance in the evening.
Later the two cops allegedly went to the hostel and brandished a 9mm pistol at the students threatening them.
Subsequently the students rounded up the duo and snatched the weapon. Both the cops were later handed over to Kakwa police at around 11:20 PM.
The two cops have been identified as Sub Inspector W.Robertson and IRB constable P Bhuto.
