In a shocking incident, so-called justice delivered by an underground group, the proscribed United National Liberation Front (UNLF) shot dead a 19-year-old youth in Manipur’s Bishnupur district.
The UNLF took responsibility for the killing of the youth who was the prime accused in the rape of a minor.
In a release issued, the UNLF said it had awarded death penalty to the youth identified as Heisnam Lalboi for his allegedly involvement in the rape case. UNLF ultras pumped 6 bullets into the victim who succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased was the prime accused in the rape of a girl studying in Class 9 in Thanga High School in Bishnupur District, that took place on 13 Feb, 2018. And trial of the case, along with 3 other accomplice, was undergoing at the court of District & Session Judge Bishnupur.
