After a brief lull, heavy rains lashed Guwahati on Saturday, affecting traffic flow and leaving streets under sheets of water.

Scores of commuters, especially those going to the office, were caught off guard as they had to wade through knee-deep water and got stuck in traffic snarls.
The swelling of rivers due to relentless rains have caused water-logging on the low lying areas of the region.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Guwahati will receive more rainfall in the next two days accompanied by the thunderstorm.

The minimum and maximum temperature is likely to hover around 27 degree Celsius and 36 degree Celsius.
