A coal laden truck was allegedly set on fire by unidentifed miscreants on Thursday night at Wapungskur village in Meghalaya’s East Jaintia Hills district.

The 12-wheeler, which was loaded with more than 60 metric ton of coal was meant for coal supply to a cement factory in the district.

Meanwhile, the police have started an investigation into the case. The police are trying to ascertain whether the truck was set on fire by some miscreants or had it caught fire on its own.
