The deadly Japanese Encephalitis has claimed two more lives, including a 10-year old child in Assam.

While, an 80-year-old man identified as Abdul Hamid Barbhuyan, a resident of Hailakandi district, died while undergoing treatment, death of 10-year-old Suren Raj has been reported from Charaideo district.

With the newly reported deaths, the overall toll in the State due to Japanese Encephalitis has now climbed up to 84.

In Hailakandi, 4 more JE and 14 Acute Encephalitis syndrome cases have been detected. Also, several JE positive cases have been reported from Charaideo district
