Three buildings at Aizawl, Mizoram collapsed after a massive landslide on Tuesday evening.
The incident has left at-least three people dead including two children. Eleven others were injured and have been taken to a hospital nearby.
Some of the injured were recovered from under the debris. So far police are still searching the debris in search for more survivors. Search parties scoured the site the whole night looking for survivors.
The deceased have been identified as 13-year-old Lalnunfeli, 8-year-old Lalpeksanga and 52-year-old Sainghinglovi.
The buildings were a part of a housing complex under a central government sponsored scheme. The residents moved into the facility last year and 18 families were residing in it at the time of collapse.
Meanwhile, Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga tweeted about the incident and expressed condolence for the victims.
