Justice Ajay Kumar Mittal was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court at Raj Bhavan in Shillong today.
Governor of Meghalaya, Tathagata Roy administered the oath of office in the ceremony.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma along with his cabinet ministers, Government officials and high ranking officials of the Armed forces were also present at the ceremony.
It may be mentioned that Justice AK Mittal was the judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court before his appointment as the Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court.
