AICC President Rahul Gandhi will visit Imphal on March 19 to launch the parties campaign in the state ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Manipur Okram Ibobi Singh informed Northeast Live that the National Congress Chief may in fact arrive in the capital one day before the actual day of campaigning.
He also added that in the central committee meeting held in New Delhi on Friday, proposals for candidates for both outer and inner Manipur were made and the announcement of the final list will be made soon by the high command.
Meanwhile, Congress president Rahul Gandhi will also visit Tripura capital Agartala on March 20. The Congress president will address a public rally during the visit.
