Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Unveils Rs 228 cr Projects in West Kameng District

Rs 228 cr Projects in West Kameng District: One of the crucial projects under consideration is the Shergaon to Mandala Top road.

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has inaugurated 14 infrastructure projects worth Rs 102 crore in the Kalaktang constituency of West Kameng district. In addition, he laid the foundation for 21 new projects valued at Rs 126 crore. The event marked a significant step towards accelerating development in the region.

Taking to X, CM Khandu shared, “Accelerating development in Kalaktang constituency! Inaugurated 14 projects worth Rs 102 crore and laid the foundation for 21 new projects worth Rs 126 crore, reaffirming our commitment to progress and prosperity.”

One of the crucial projects under consideration is the Shergaon to Mandala Top road, currently under survey by the Public Works Department (PWD). Officials have confirmed that necessary approvals are expected soon. Another significant proposal is the Shergaon to Doimara road, for which a memorandum has been submitted by the Sherdukpen community. A feasibility survey will be conducted to assess its implementation.

Water supply remains a significant concern in the region, and the government is actively pursuing funding for a centralised water project for Kalaktang and Rupa. Efforts are underway to expedite its execution.

CM Khandu also reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting sports infrastructure by announcing plans to build a stadium in Shergaon, aiming to provide better facilities for young athletes.

Home Minister Mama Natung, local MLA Tseten Chombay, BJP state president Kaling Moyong, and other dignitaries were also present at the inauguration ceremony.
