Tripura Receives Rs 240.5 Crore from Centre for Urban Development Reforms

Tripura Chief Minister said that this funding is set to revolutionise 20 Municipal and Nagar Panchayat areas

In a significant push for urban development, the Centre has sanctioned Rs 240.5 crore to Tripura for implementing key urban planning reforms, said Chief Minister Manik Saha.

CM Saha said that this funding is set to revolutionise 20 Municipal and Nagar Panchayat areas, enhancing infrastructure, sustainability, and public amenities.

The funds will be utilised for multiple urban infrastructure projects, including:
1.Water Supply & Flood Management
2.Solar-Powered Street Lights & High Mast Lights
3.CCTV Installation in All Urban Local Bodies (ULBs)
4.Water ATMs & Market Development
5.Urban Anganwadi Centres & Riverfront Development

With a strong focus on security, sustainability, and community welfare, the projects will not only improve civic facilities but also uplift the overall quality of life for residents.

Chief Minister Manik Saha hailed the move as a transformative step and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, and Minister of Power Manohar Lal for their unwavering support in Tripura’s journey towards Viksit Bharat.
