The house is now being referred to as the “miracle” house and the labelled as the ‘last house standing’

And miracles happen. As the fires raged on, and houses and structures turned into ashes in seconds a house in the middle of Malibu Town miraculously survived the devastating wildfires.

The lucky man is David Steiner, a retired waste-management executive who hails from Texas. When the flames swept through the upmarket Malibu locality, the 64-year old father of three thought the worst but was beyond relieved when he saw his house standing tall amid the ashes and debris all around the house.
His house survived the Palisades fire that has destroyed more than 10,000 homes and other structures.

So how did his 3-storey house survive the blaze?
The former CEO of Houston-based company Waste Management, Inc. believes that his property’s sturdy construction, designed to protect it from earthquakes, saved it from the deadly fires that have forced nearly 130,000 people to evacuate their homes, reports quoting Steiner said.

The house is now being referred to as the “miracle” house and the labelled as the ‘last house standing’.
Images like this one below has flooded social media.
Steiner bought the 4,200-square-foot, four-bedroom home from a producer and built this house in 2000, media reports said.
