Meghalaya: VPP Announces Names of 5 Candidates To Contest Ri Bhoi Seats in MDC Election

Syngkon and Marbaniang said the party’s main agenda is to work towards helping the people of the state to progress and grow.
The Voice of People’s Party or VPP today announced the names of 5 Candidates for the MDC Election scheduled for next month. The candidates who would be contesting for the five constituencies of Ri Bhoi District are Apkyrmen Lyngdoh from Jirang Constituency, Mathew Makdoh from Nongpoh Constituency, Banrikus Nongsteng from Umsning Constituency, Kynjohlang Rangtong from Mawhati Constituency and Isynei Hinge from Umroi Constituency.
The names of the candidates were announced in the presence of Ricky A.J. Syngkon, MP and General Secretary of VPP and Brightstar Marbaniang, MLA from Mawlai and other leaders of the party.
Highlighting the core principles of the party, Syngkon and Marbaniang said the party’s main agenda is to work towards helping the people of the state to progress and grow. The leaders underscored that it is only through the strong and widespread support of the public that the party can fulfill its vision and objectives to usher in this much-needed transformation.
Dr. Ricky A.J. Syngkon also urged the people of Ri Bhoi and Meghalaya to give VPP the opportunity to lead. He highlighted that empowering the VPP with public support is essential for the party to implement its policies and chart a new course for Meghalaya’s development.
