GMCH Records 11.55 Lakh Patients in 2024, Prepares for Robotic Surgery

Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) treated an impressive 11,55,000 patients in 2024, including 29,061 complex surgeries, the management announced today during a press conference. This milestone underscores the premier institution’s critical role in providing advanced medical care in the region.
Looking ahead, GMCH is poised to enhance its infrastructure with the introduction of robotic surgery from 7 January 2025, offering state-of-the-art precision and efficiency in medical procedures.
This technological leap aligns with the hospital’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge healthcare services.
Additionally, a new 820-bed building will soon be inaugurated, significantly boosting patient care capacity and addressing the growing healthcare demands of the region.
