Another Woman Stabbed in Broad Daylight in Assam

In yet another shocking incident of violence in Assam comes within 48 hours of a woman in Guwahati being stabbed in broad daylight. A young woman was stabbed in broad daylight in the Bhumuraguri area of Nagaon district on December 28.

The victim, identified as Aklima Khatun, works as a health worker in a private hospital and is currently fighting for her life in a critical condition at a local hospital.

The accused, Billaluddin, reportedly drugged Aklima before carrying out the brutal assault. As per reports, three individuals, who are said to be friends of the victim, allegedly assisted Billaluddin by mixing sedatives into her food. Following this, Billaluddin mercilessly stabbed her in the abdomen, leaving her gravely injured.

This appalling crime comes close on the heels of another sensational stabbing case in Guwahati on December 26, where a cab driver fatally stabbed a woman in broad daylight. The consecutive incidents of such brazen attacks have sparked outrage, with demands for swift justice and stricter measures to ensure public safety.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the Nagaon stabbing case, with efforts underway to apprehend all individuals involved.
