Tension Escalates In Manipur’s Imphal West After Fresh Firing In Tairenpokpi
Tension prevails in Manipur’s Imphal West district, after armed miscreants resorted to firing from Kangpokpi towards the valley. Inputs suggest the incident comes just ahead of the deployment of newly trained IRB personnel from Assam to Manipur. Peace was disrupted again after miscreants targeted the Tairenpokpi in Imphal West, near the border with Kangpokpi district. It has been learnt that the attackers used automatic weapons and even launched several bomb rounds.
