3 women of a family missing since 2 days in Assam’s Sivasagar

The missing women have been identified as Popi Chetia (24), Deepa Chetia (23), and Geeta Bishwakarma (18).

Three women from the same family in Barduamukh, Nazira in Sivasagar district, Assam have been missing for the past two days.

The missing women have been identified as Popi Chetia (24), Deepa Chetia (23), and Geeta Bishwakarma (18).

Speaking to media, Popi Chetia’s husband, Pranjal Chetia, shared that his wife had told him she was going to the bank but did not return by evening. When he inquired with his mother about their whereabouts, he was told that they had gone to a neighbour’s house to attend a funeral. However, upon checking, they were nowhere to be found.

The family has reported the incident to the police, and a missing case has been registered at the Shimluguri Police Station.

Police are now investigating the mysterious disappearance of the three women.
