In a shocking incident, a young woman was allegedly gang-raped and tortured beyond imagination in the Boragaon area of Guwahati by nine men.
What is also pathetic and disgusting is that the accused filmed the horrible crime. The disturbing video has gone viral on social media, drawing widespread outrage.
The police launched an investigation as soon as the video went viral.
The arrested culprits have been identified as Kuldeep, Pinku Das, Mrinal, Gagan, Bijay, Dipankar and Saurabh while the other two are still absconding, identified as Robin Das, and Krishna.
A manhunt is underway to nab the remaining culprits.
