Meghalaya Govt Takes Action Following Allegations of Mistreatment at Rehabilitation Centres in Assam

Following allegations of mistreatment at rehabilitation centers in Assam, the Government of Meghalaya has taken serious note of the developments. Meghalaya Social Welfare Minister Paul Lyngdoh has assured that the state government has taken action. The allegations surfaced after an elderly woman and several drug users sought intervention from the Meghalaya Human Rights Commission.
