Assam-Agartala National Highway Blocked By Bru Refugees
Massive protests have erupted at Ambassa in tripura’s dhalai district after displaced Bru blocked the Assam-Tripura National Highway in support of various demands. Displaced Bru people from Mizoram who have been resettled in at least 13 Bru resettlement camps from 4 districts of Tripura have blocked the highway. As a result, movement of vehicles have come to a grinding halt as the protest began since 5 am this morning. the main demands of the protestors are creation of new village councils for 13 bru resettlement locations and allocation of agriculture lands.
