Bihar Family Who Had Come to Assam To Attend Wedding Dies in Road Accident

In a tragic road accident, four of the same family, including a child, were killed in Assam’s Dibrguarh district this morning. The family hailed from Araria in Bihar and had come to Assam to attend a marriage.

The accident occurred when the car lost control and hit a culvert on a bridge and fell into a river below resulting in the death of the four persons.

As per reports, the family was on way to attend the marriage and were driving from the Dibrugarh railway station when the accident happened at the Dibrugarh-Tinsukia bypass in the Gobindapur area.

The deceased have been identified as Mohan Shah, Rajesh Gupta, Montu Shah and seven year old Arth Gupta.

On Monday, six people including a 4-year-old child died in two separate road accidents.
The 4-year old died in the road accident which took place at Krishnai in Goalpara district. The child identified as Aayush Bhattacharya tragically lost his life after being hit by an e-rickshaw.

In another fatal accident, which occurred around 11:30 AM on the Silchar-Kalain road at Ranighat, five people lost their lives in a head-on collision between an auto-rickshaw and a Bolero pickup.
