For Every 10 Caught, 100 Entering Illegally: TIPRA Chief Pradyot’s Red Flag About Unabated Influx from Bangladesh

It may be mentioned that Bangladeshis and Rohingyas have been entering India through Tripura almost on a daily basis

TIPRA Motha chief Pradyot Kishore Debbarma has once again flagged the continuous influx from Bnagladesh and said that every ten people caught from Bangladesh border there are hundreds who are entering India through Tripura illegally. He said that the infiltration continues unabated and the situation has remained unchanged since the last 5 years.

“I had said this nearly 5 years ago! The person who took this video along with his supporters is today a minister of state Brishaketu debbarma. For every ten people apprehended from Bangladesh border there are hundred who are entering illegally. They then find there home in tripura or melt away within the population across northeast and India. It’s been FIVE YEARS nothing has changed,” the Tripura royal scion said in a social media post reposting a video shot by Brishaketu Debbarma in 2019.

According to the Tripura royal scion, the infiltrators who evade arrest settle in Tripura trickle into other parts of India, mingle with the Indians, and get assimilated with the population across the northeast and rest of India.

Pradyot’s fresh statement on influx from Bangladesh and its impact on India assume a lot of significance since he was assured by Union Home Minister Amit Shah stating that the borders are well protected and that no illegal influx would be allowed.

Speaking exclusively to Northeast Live, Pradyot Debbarman said, “If these people keep coming, and nobody is taking any action the question needs to be asked where is the commitment to protect our people, our land from these people who are entering illegally?
I have no problem if they enter legally but the way these people are coming in without any checks and balances aren’t they creating a problem for the future?”
