TIPRA Motha chief Pradyot Kishore Debbarma today said that infiltration from Bangladesh continues unabated and is a matter of serious concern as the situation has remained unchanged since the last 5 years. Taking to social media, the Tripura royal scion reposted a video shot by Brishaketu Debbarma in 2019 showing infiltrators crossing over to Tripura via the porous border and said that the situation has remained unchanged since then. Despite the fact that there has been an intensified crackdown on infiltration by the Tripura police as well as the BSF, Pradyot Debbarma said that for every ten people apprehended from Bangladesh border, there are hundred who are entering illegally. According to the Tripura royal scion, the infiltrators who evade arrest settle in Tripura or melt within the population across northeast and India.
