Tripura Human Rights Commision Seek Police Report on TMC Ragging Incident

The Tripura Human Rights Commission (THRC) has taken suo motu cognizance of the ragging horror at the Tripura Medical College and Hospital and directed the police to submit detailed reports on the case within three weeks. Referring to media reports of ragging at Tripura Medical College, THRC ordered the principal to submit a detailed report on the incident in three weeks. As per reports, in the suo-moto cognizance the Chairperson of the Commission Justice SC Das, members Udit Chowdhury and BK Roy said that ragging is not only a criminal offence but it also violates the human rights of the ragging victims.
