Senior NPP Leaders Join Congress in Meghalaya At a time when the congress party seems to be losing its strength and influence in Meghalaya, several senior NPP leaders from Ri Bhoi district officially joined the grand old party today giving it a big shot in the arm. The joining of the senior leaders marks a strategic boost to Congress’s influence in the district. Notable figures include Minsing Makri, former Adviser of the NPP Nongpoh Block; Lawrence Nongrum, former Secretary of the NPP Nongpoh Block; and Stoin Syngkli, Working President of the NPP Nongpoh Block. Besides the trio, several others also joined the congress today.
