New Alternative Highway to Lachung and Lachen Set to Open, Reviving North Sikkim Tourism
An alternative highway is all set to open to North Sikkim which will target the tourist spots of Lachen and Lachung and also boost tourism in the area. Sikkim Roads and Bridges Minister NB Dahal has informed Northeast Live that the under-construction alternative highway from Naga village to the popular tourist destinations of Lachung and Lachen is expected to open within a week. This announcement brings a wave of relief to travelers and locals who have faced limited access due to a prolonged roadblock since June this year.
