Indian Navy is undertaking a Motorcycle Expedition to North-eastern States which is underway from October 14 to October 30, to enhance maritime the awareness in these states and to engage with youth and civil society. The Navy has previously made similar successful efforts in the Northeast in 2022 and in Leh or Ladakh in 2023. The main objectives of the current initiative in the three North Eastern States – Meghalaya, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, include showcasing Indian Navy, conducting Awareness drives at Schools/ Colleges about the career opportunities in Indian Navy including the Agnipath Scheme.
