Chief Minister N Biren Singh launched the Manipur Heli Service between Imphal and Tamenglong at Imphal International Airport today.

Speaking on the occasion, Biren Singh said the helicopter service has been launched to provide assistance to Senior Citizens and severely ill patients from the hilly regions.

He maintained that the state government and Pawan Hans collaborated to provide the services inside the state whenever necessary.

He also assured that the Air Ambulance Service will start working within 15 days to provide health services to people in the hilly regions.

Meanwhile, the Manipur chief minister also informed that the Centre has agreed to open a Sports Medicine block in Regional Institute of Medical Sciences so that injured players can carry on with their treatment in the state.
