North East Olympic Games Day 4: Manipur remains on top with 33 gold medals

Today was the fourth day of the 5-day North East Olympic Games hosted by Manipur.

Conceptualized by the Olympic Associations of the eight northeastern states, the event has witnessed participation of over 1500 athletes from all the eight states of the region.

Athletes have competed in as many as 12 disciplines including archery, athletics, badminton, boxing, football, judo, karate, shooting, table tennis, taekwondo, weightlifting and wushu over the next five days.

On the medal tally, Manipur is at the top of the tree with 33 Gold, 24 Silver and 18 Bronze medals followed by Assam with 25 Gold, 28 Silver and 23 Bronze medals and Arunachal Pradesh at 3rd place with 11 Gold, 8 Silver and 19 Bronze medals.
