Assam: Five Prisoners Escape From Morigaon Jail, Probe On
5 undertrial prisoners have escaped from the Morigaon district jail this morning. Inputs suggest that the inmates broke open rods of the barrack and made the daring escape by climbing over a 20-feet tall boundary wall of the jail. All the undertrial prisoners were accused in POCSO cases and have been identified as Saifuddin, Jiyarul Islam, Noor Islam, Mafidul and Abdul Rashid. A high level probe into the incident has already begun and attempts are underway to nab the absconding criminals.
