East Khasi Hills Sessions Court has acquitted BNP Leader Salahuddin Ahmed of all charges.

Ahmed was charged of trespassing into Indian territory. He was found loitering in Shillong’s Golflink’s area and was arrested on June 2015.

Ahmed did not have valid documents with him when he was picked up by the local police.

It may be mentioned that Sallahudin was charged by police under Foreigners Act for illegally entering India in June 2015.

He had however maintained in court that he was abducted from Bangladesh and was abandoned by unknown miscreants in India.
