Manipur CM N Biren Singh Urges All To Stay Alert For Possible Illegal Influx Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh has stressed on the need to be in guard against possible entry of migrants from neighbouring Nagaland and Mizoram with the two states taking steps to identify illegal migrants. Speaking to the media on the sidelines of an event, CM N Biren said that the steps taken can have an impact on Manipur and hence the state needs to be on guard. So, CM N Biren Singh stating that Nagaland has started screening with 1963 and 1940 as the base years, while Mizoram has set 1951 as the base year for land purchase in the state.
