Former Cricketer Salil Ankola’s Mother Found Dead Under Suspicious Circumstances in Pune

Mala Ankola, mother of former Indian cricketer Salil Ankola, was found dead in her Pune flat, police investigation is underway.

In a tragic incident, Mala Ankola, the 77-year-old mother of former Indian cricketer Salil Ankola, was found dead in her apartment in Pune’s Deccan area on Wednesday. Mala Ankola, who lived alone in Pune, was discovered by her domestic worker.

According to police, they have taken a case and started investigation to determine whether this is a case of murder or if other factors may be involved. They also found a metal bar around Mala Ankola’s neck, sparking suspicions of foul play.

Salil Ankola, known for making his debut alongside cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, bidding farewell to his mother.

As the investigation continues, a post-mortem has been scheduled to determine the exact cause of death. Mala Ankola’s husband, Salil’s late father, was an IPS officer.

The Ankola family has yet to issue an official statement on the tragic incident.
