The strike by the state government employees of Arunachal Pradesh entered its second day today.
The strike is being led by the Confederation of Service Association of Arunachal Pradesh and is set to continue for two more days.
The main demand is for the implementation of the recommendations and allowances under the seventh pay commission in the state.
The government employees are sporting black badges as a sign of protest while still carrying on with their respective works.
From tomorrow onwards for the next two days, there are plans for a pen down movement which may create a crisis in the functioning of the government machinery.
The state government has taken a tough stand against the strike and has already threatened strong action against the protesters.
In this regard, the protesters have already stated that the pen down movement would continue if their demands are not met within the period of the next two days.
