Protesting tea garden workers in Darjeeling has caused a connectivity problem for neighbouring Sikkim as the sole route of Lava road connecting Sikkim with the rest of the country lies blocked. The Lava road connecting Sikkim and Darjeeling has been blocked by tea garden workers of the Tukdah tea estate. The road blockade has been taken up by the irate workers due to an unresolved dispute over the payment of bonus.
