Manipur Man Arrested with Heroin Worth Over Rs 9 Cr in Nagaland

The arrested man has been identified as K.H. Pavei of Phaibung Khullen, Senapati in Manipur.

Nagaland Police arrested a man from Manipur with heroin worth over Rs 9 crore.

The arrested man has been identified as K.H. Pavei of Phaibung Khullen, Senapati in Manipur.

As per inputs, K.H. Pavei was travelling in an Assam-registered vehicle, which was stopped for a routine check at the Khuzama inter-state check gate on Sunday.

Upon thorough inspection, police recovered 161 soap cases of heroin weighing approximately 1.6 kg hidden in a secret compartment in the backrest of the vehicle.

The estimated market value of the seized heroin is Rs 9.66 crore.

Subsequently, police arrested Pavei and registered a case against him under the relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
